The
Hotel Gran Baita ( Baita, means Alpine Lodge ) is next to the Hotel Darby and
only a short walk from the cable car and the shops of the town center.
You will be delighted with this typical "Dolomiti" family run hotel. The
owners pride themselves on pampering their guests with a real home-from-home
atmosphere. As you can see from the photographs, the Gran Baita has preserved
many of the original features that has given this fine hotel such a high
return rate from past clients. All the rooms are furnished to a high
standard and are (of course) en-suite with TV and direct dial phone.

There is (if you're up for it) a fitness room or, for the not so energetic,
the sauna is always popular with skiers wishing to relax after a hard day on
the slopes. The upper floors are reached by the lift from side of the
reception area. The welcoming bar and large "snug" (lounge) is open till
late as are the billiard room and games room. The chef prides himself on
providing a wide variety of choice for dinner so if you're looking for
something just a little special, The Gran Baita is the place to be.
Relaxing and welcoming are the 2 words most used by previous clients to
describe this hotel. The hotel runs a minibus service to and from the cable
car lift at the start and end of each day so if you can't face the few minutes stroll
(around 5 min) then don't worry as the hotel will take care of that for you.
The main reasons many clients give for returning to this charming hotel year
after year is the high standard of the meals and the enthusiasm of the
friendly staff. What more can we say.
