If
you're seeking a peaceful and enjoyable
holiday with truly staggering scenery then this is the place
to be.
Folgarida is a medium sized ski resort in the centre of
the aptly named Val di Sole (Valley of Sun) which runs
North West of Trento city. Our resort is located in
the Brenta Dolomites National Park in a sweet smelling
pine forest. It’s a truly wonderful location for those
who love winter sports and want to enjoy a peaceful and
relaxing holiday with family and friends in the
mountains.
Folgarida town is spilt into two sections (upper and
lower). The majority of shops, bars, restaurants and
other facilities (cinema showing films in English, etc)
are located in lower Folgarida. All our hotels are in
lower Folgarida at an altitude of 1,300m just a few
minutes stroll from the main gondola in the town plaza.
As a modern resort it has been possible to lay out the
lifts and the village in a manner that blends seamlessly
with the local forested environment. There are no
buildings in Folgarida taller than the surrounding
trees. As an example the Hotel Renzi looks to be only a small hotel at
the side of the road, in reality it is seven stories high, but to comply
with National Park regulations it is built down the slope behind, rather
than upwards.
Whilst most people will become accustomed to stunning
mountain scenes, the views over the snow covered
Dolomites are, by any standards, some of the greatest
views available anywhere. The snow covered needle-like
structures glistening in the afternoon sun is a memory
to savour - don't forget your camera.

It seems that almost the whole village descends on the
famous Eta Beta Bar which is built literally underneath
the end of the piste in the town square. So, when in
Rome (or Folgarida) do as they do. Your hosts at the Eta
Beta, Stefano and Ricky, will not only offer you some
Italian wine (from local vineyards) but may also even
serenade you whilst you regale us with tales of your
day's adventures. If you are looking for some “boom
boom” techno dance music until very late, you will
find that the nightclubs are very loud and very
crowded (and sweaty), but of course (this is Italy after
all) there is also a plethora of high quality
restaurants offering international and local delicacies.
Basically, whatever you are looking for, you’ll find it
in Folgarida.
